A thinly potted, deep porcelain dish with moulded sides, made in China during the Kangxi period (1662 - 1722). Painted in underglaze blue, the center with a flowering plant and the sides with paneled decoration of landscapes alternating with flowers. Base marked with a blossom in a double circle. Condition: fine, backside of the rim with two tiny frits and few spots due to burst glaze bubbles. The well with a tiny firing flaw. Dimension: diameter: 16.2 cm, 3.7 cm high.

A high quality cloisonne vase dating from the Meiji period. Design of ho-o birds among clouds on a green speckled ground. The shoulder with flowers on a black spiral ground. Bottom, rim and wires are gilt. With wood stand. Condition: rim with a small dent (see picture No. 6). Small area with only under the magnifying glass visible imperfections. Dimension: 12.1 cm high. An impressive wood casket with sandalwood veneer. The hinged cover carved with fighting lion and dragon within floral scrollwork. The sides with birds, flower spray and tendrils. Carved area within gilt and black lined borders. Lock with missing key. See very similar piece: Christie's Sale 9618: lot 41. Sold for $ 4'700. Condition: only few traces of usage, the bottom with gap. Dimension: 41.9 cm x 29.1 cm x 13.2 cm.
