The ground fabric was certainly made in China. The ends of the shawl are finely embroidered in multi-colored silk yarn. The embroidery is identical on both surfaces. The sides with fringes or crochet work. Condition: one hole (near embroidery) and few tiny holes, few tiny stains and loose threads. Dimension: length without fringes: approx. 225 cm, width: 45 cm.
A square pale gauze fabric, decorated with silk, couched gold wrapped thread and pieces of iridescent of beetle-wings. Condition: few beetle wings missing, one small hole in the embroidered section (ca. 2 cm x 0.5 cm), slightly stained and patina. Dimension: ca. 112 cm x 112 cm.
