Two Chinese export silver miniatures subtly formed as a rickshaw and a pushcart with movable wheels. Both with maker's mark "ZW" standing for Zeewo and two Chinese character marks. Known silversmith active in the late 19th and early 20th century in Shanghai. Condition: fine. Dimension: 6.1 cm and 8.2 cm long. Total weight: 80 g.
Two deep dishes with fluted walls. White porcelaneous clay with a white slightly pale blue toned glaze. The unglazed base with few oxidation. Base with collector's number. Condition: left one with a firing crack and two small rim chips, right with a tiny rim chip and wear to glaze. Dimension: 13.2 cm and 13 cm diameter, 3.4 cm high, weight: 332 g.
A magnificent, large Seto porcelain vase showing flying geese among snowy plants in low relief, on a celadon ground. The base is signed in underglaze blue "Seto, Kawamoto Masukichi sei". Condition: fine, only small area with three tiny flakes in celadon glaze (see picture 6). Dimension: 30.3 cm high.
A pair brown patinated bronze vases inlaid with silver, black and red. Decorated with warriors on horseback in a landscape. Vase and stand cast together. Condition: one vase is slightly slanting and has wear to patina. Dimension: 25.3 cm and 25.5 cm high, weight: 2100 g.
A striped plain weave cover, consisting of eight widths sewn together. Made of wool, dyed with natural colors. Most probably made by the Shahsavan nomads and dating from the 2nd half of 19th century. Condition: clean, one small area with old mends (near undone seam, see picture 12), another small mend, little tiny thin areas, the selvages needs a fixation. Dimension: 188 cm x 156 cm.
A fragment of a yutan (furniture cover), the brocade with orange brown ground showing the design in rows of five-clawed dragons alternating with clouds. Woven in polychrome silk and silvered strips of paper. With applied Japanese family crest roundel of triple hollyhock, worked in silk with couched gold threads. With undyed linen lining and the longside with loops. Condition: the crest with missing application (circle), three larger and some small holes, partially little wear and fading. Two deeply carved wooden boxes for the export, both having a hinged lid. The larger box lined with later felt. Condition and dimension of small box: few minor losses, maybe with later varnishing, lock with missing key; 22 cm x 16.5 cm x 10.5 cm. Larger box: some losses and worm holes, two small old repairs (see picture 12); 28.2 cm x 19 cm x 9 cm. Weight together: 1500 g.
A repousse silver box with slightly domed lid. Decorated with dragons and scholars playing a game in a landscape. Bottom marked "KY" and Chinese characters. Condition: lid with partially dented area. Dimension: 4.6 cm high, diameter: 5.3 cm, weight: 64 g.
Chinese silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) mounted as scroll with figured silk mounting. Depicting warriors on horseback with fine painted details, the background is woven in gold thread. Condition: fine, mounting with some wrinkles and few tiny stains. Dimension: kesi: 48.5 cm x 25.6 cm, total: 85.5 cm x 32.8 cm.
