Marked "LW" and Chinese characters standing for Luenwo, a silversmith active in Shanghai in the late 19th and early 20th century. Condition: fine, maybe minimally distorted. Waist-length sleeveless silk garment for a child or a very young woman. Fastened at the sides with four flat gilt metal buttons, depicting a sailing ship. Embroidered in vivid colors and metal thread couching with butterflies and roundels among flowers. Iron red and blue silk lining. Condition: fine, occasionally minimal wear and fading, lining with little paper label residue. Dimension: 46.8 cm x 52 cm.

A blue and white deep porcelain dish with spirally moulded sides. Painted in underglaze blue with swirling stems of feathery flowers, repeated on the reverse. The base with a symbol mark in a double circle, Kangxi period (1662 - 1722). The open-work silver handle was added in the 19th century in the Netherlands.
