Painted in underglaze blue with a grasshopper perched on a rock among flowering plants in a star-shaped medallion. A thinly potted, deep porcelain dish with moulded sides, made in China during the Kangxi period (1662 - 1722). Painted in underglaze blue, the center with a flowering plant and the sides with paneled decoration of landscapes alternating with flowers. Base marked with a blossom in a double circle. Condition: fine, backside of the rim with two tiny frits and few spots due to burst glaze bubbles. The well with a tiny firing flaw. Dimension: diameter: 16.2 cm, 3.7 cm high.
