An antique walking cane or parasol handle ending in a knob, with remnant of stick in zitan wood. Made of silver decorated with two dragons among clouds and two gilt auspicious Chinese characters. Illegibly marked. Condition: little traces of usage. Dimension: handle: 16 cm long, total length: 26 cm.

A front and back Mandarin square dating from the second half of the 19th century. A pair of insignias of a court official's wife, each showing a paradise flycatcher, denoting the ninth civil rank. Made of silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic thread and painted details. The background was probably covered by peacock feathers, rarely survived to the present days.
