Tassel for a horse's breast collar consisting of a tuft of red hair (maybe from a yak) mounted in a gold and silver damascened iron bell. Such tassels hung from the breast strap were signs of rank for both lay and religious officials. A copper repousse depicting the Hindu goddess Durga crushing the demon Mahisha, disguised as a buffalo. The deity with eight arms is standing on a lotus base and is framed by an aureole with flames. Small ewer with beautiful patina. The pear shaped body on a splayed lotus foot. The spout emerging from a Makara and the handle with a dragon head. Decorated in repousse and chasing with two cartouches, one with the "four harmonious brothers" and the other with a saint among animals. The domed cover attached to the body with a chain.
