Sold. 

Two small porcelain dishes painted in the Qianjiang palette with a scholar sitting under a tree. Dated minguo 23, corresponding to 1934. Base marked. Condition: one dish with few wear to decoration, rim frittings and one short hairline 1.2 cm long.

Sold. 

A short dagger carried for self-defense, formerly used by men and women of th samurai class. The unsigned blade is in "hira zukuri" form with beautiful wave-like "hamon". The handle encased with shark skin and the lacquer "saya" with aventurine. Condition: blade with traces of time, shark skin with few imperfections. Dimension blade: 10 cm long, total length: 19.6 cm, weight: 102 g.

Three conjoined globular boxes with covers molded as fruits with stems. Nearly white stoneware with a whitish light green crackled glaze. The flat base and the interior partially unglazed with few oxidation. Condition: one hairline, interior with a firing crack. Dimension: 6.8 cm long, 3.9 cm high, weight: 100 g.

An original color woodblock print in the oban size by the Shin Hanga artist Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949). Signed and sealed, right margin with title and dated December 1938. Left margin with Baba Nobuhiko publisher seal, printer and carver seal of Sato and Ikeda, on the verso with stamp of Tokyo Hangain. Lower margin with printed title in English and upper left-hand corner with watermark. Old Chinese pagoda box made of partially gilt silver decorated with colored enamels. Embellished with two mottled green-gray jade rings and glass or stone cabochons. Marked on the underside: silver, 800 and makers's mark. Condition: fine, only gilding partially slightly worn. Dimension: 14.2 cm high, diameter: approx. 9 cm. diameter, weight: 452 gram.

An attractive ewer made of finely potted white porcelaneous clay with a beautiful pale blue toned, sparsely crackled, glaze. The unglazed base with few oxidation. Lobed body with a slender spout and a ribbed handle, on the shoulder two ring loops. Condition: foot wit a small chip. Dimension: 9.9 cm high, weight: 216 g.

The cloak of the man signed and dated Hijri 1311 corresponding to 1893. Condition: one corner chipped with repair and small imperfections, on glaze flake. An original color woodblock print with raised lines depicting a garden door probably in China by the American arts and crafts artist, Bertha Lum (1859-1954). The print is signed and dated in pencil. Condition: good, only the backside with traces of former mounting. Dimension: image: 36.9 cm x 21.4 cm, paper: 38.3 cm x 22.1 cm.
