A pair of identical worked flower vases, each standing on three high feet ending in a bird head. The octagonal body with panels, decorated with raised flowers and birds. Two handles are attached to the blossom shaped mouth. Condition: Traces of age, some wear. Patination slightly different in color. Dimension: Height 24,4 cm, width 8,5 cm. Weight: 2050 gram (together).

Japanese woodblock print depicting the kabuki actor Otani Tomoemon in the role of the spirit of snow. Created 1951 by the shin hanga artist Natori Shunsen (1886 - 1960). Printed by the publisher Watanabe Shozaburo (black circular seal). Condition: Fresh colors. Slightly yellowed, margins with 4 pinholes. On reverse some buying annotations (Tokyo 1954) in pencil. Bulgy shape dressed with an opaque grey green glaze. Two small ring handles set on the shoulders connected to the canted rim. Grey white stoneware, the exposed areas turned in reddish-brown. Concave base. Condition: Base with tiny chips, the surface slightly scratched. Dimensions: 8,5 cm high and 11,5 cm diameter. Weight: 370 gram.
