A rectangular Buddhist monk's robe made in patchwork technique, originally arranged in seven main rows. Columns: cream colored brocade silk with design of foamy waves and fishes. Dividing bands and border: brown silk brocade with Chinese style cloud pattern. Additional patches (shiten and niten): made of blue brocade with design of flowers and taihu rocks.
