Japanese Ivory Shibayama Manju Netsuke, Signed.

A manju netsuke consisting of two ivory discs, of easily different size. Inlaid with mother-of-pearl, metal and another organic material. One signed on a mother-of-pearl tablet "Shibayama saku", the other one with sparrow design "Shibayama Yasunobu", an artist active 1850-1880 in Edo. Condition: the two discs with traces of former cohering, the rim of the larger disc with few really tiny chips. Dimension: diameter: 4.9 cm and 5.1 cm, 2 cm thick. CITES documents are requested if required (1 to 2 weeks in Switzerland).
