| A Buddhist temple canopy consisting of three panels of silk brocade. Orange brown ground with design in rows, ho-o birds alternating with leaves. Woven in polychrome silk and silvered stripes of paper "gin hirahaku". The cotton lining dated and inscribed in ink. Condition: one loss and few small holes, one corner mended, lining stained, little faded and worn. Dimension: 168 cm x 168 cm. | |||||||||||||||
