Chinese Porcelain Dish w. Dutch Silver Mounts, Kangxi.
A blue and white deep porcelain dish with spirally moulded sides. Painted in underglaze blue with swirling stems of feathery flowers, repeated on the reverse. The base with a symbol mark in a double circle, Kangxi period (1662 - 1722). The open-work silver handle was added in the 19th century in the Netherlands. It is marked with a lion en passant, Minerva head, "b" (date mark corresponding to 1861) and a maker's mark. Condition: fine, only few tiny rim frits. Dimension: 26.8 cm diameter, 4.9 cm high, weight: 904 g.
