| Chinese blue and white Kraak porcelain bowl with lobed rim, retrieved from the Hatcher shipwreck, dating to the Transitional - late Ming period, c. 1643. In underglaze blue, painted inside with sketchy landscapes and border of cakra symbols. The outside with horses among flames and waves, above flower sprays. Foot rim with little adhering kiln-sand and glazed base. Few small firing flaws, little warped. Condition: fine, little glaze degradation due to immersion in the sea.
