Very fine terracotta of the child horus. Wearing side-lock, crown of Upper and Lower Egypt. Also on the front of the crown we see a uraeus or cobra with solar disk. Portion of finger on the lips still present. This is one of the finest terracotta heads I have seen. Measure 3 1/4 inches and is intact as shown. Very vivid facial expression and crisp details.
Nubian terracotta statue in the form of Isis and Horus child. Isis is wearing the sun disk enclosed by a pair of cow's horns. The most common divine headdresses are cow horns and solar disks for the leading goddesses of the pantheon, such as Hathor and Isis, emphasizing their maternal role.
