AN EGYPTIAN WOOD URAEUS AND TWO DOUBLE PLUME HEADDRESSES LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXI-XXX, 664-343 B.C. Well carved wood Uraeus with a flaring hood, the end of the curving body bent backward. On top of the cobra, its head crowned by a solar disk. White gesso still present, solar disk re-attached. Measures 5.75" inches in height. Along side the Uraeus we find two double plume headdresses in wood; consists of a solar disc and plumes. Most of the white gesso remains with red speckled decoration. Both from a Ptah-Sokar-Osiris figure and measure 2.5"inches. Provenance: Gustave Jéquier Swiss Egyptologist (1868-1946). Ex.
