This is an Exquisite Ancient Egyptian Mummy Mask from the Late Period 716-30 B.C.. Measures 22.8cm., 9 inch. in height. It has wonderfully painted black eyes, eyebrows and wig. Much of the deep rich polychrome remains on this mask. There is a small chip on nose, lip and eyebrow as seen in the photo. An extraordinary example of fine Egyptian Art formed in the 17th century by the Charterhouse School in London, England. This piece comes with all certificates and accompanied by U.K export permit. There are many Egyptian artifacts although few come with such good provenance. Ex. Charterhouse Museum Collection: One of Britain's oldest and most distinguished public schools, Charterhouse was founded in 1611 by Thomas Sutton.
