Lovely black-glazed Ancient Campanian Guttus from Greek Colony of Southern Italy; circa 4th century B.C. Metalic like finish with rib pattern around the body. Well defined lion head acting as at spout and high arching handled to one side with X marked underneath. Small removable lid still present on vessel, all intact with some minor mineral deposits.
