Here you find a well provenanced Ancient Egyptian Wood Falcon from the Ptolemaic Period, 305-30 BC. Polychromed gesso on wood and intact save for some gesso loss as seen in photo. Eyes and beak are delineated with black pigment and most of the body done in a red and white. Measures 16 cm in length. Provenance: D.K. Berlin, purchased at Icon Bazar, Cairo in 1974.
