Little ancient Greek pottery miniature kylix from the Greek colony of Apulia in Southern Italy. This style of pottery is known as Xenon and is characterized by the orange and reddish pigment on a blackware base. This piece measure 4 inches from handle to handle. It is intact said for some mineral deposits and minor paint loss to one side. Dates to circa 375-350 B.C. Provenance: Private German collection. |
