Published in June, 1955. The winter flowers of the island of Oshima are camellias, from which is extracted a famous oil popular as a haridressing. This print would seem to have been inteded as the right half of a pair, but since "Graines de Camellia" all too obviously features the same three girls, it is unlikely that a pair was ever completed. Fair condition, the back of the paper is toned. The colors of the image are bright, some tape residue.

Paul Jacoulet, Miles No. 141. Once again delighted in a still life in front of a dominant figure, Jacoulet offered his subscribers the first work based on his recent trip around the world. Paul Jacoulet, Femme Tatouee, This is undoubtedly one of Jacoulet's most haunting and desirable images. This print was Jacoulet's personal favorite, and hung for many years over his bed. Credit, (excerpt) The Prints of Paul Jacoulet, by Richard Miles. Perfect condition.
This is that rare first edition, the paper is a little tired but the near perfection of the image and the scarcity of this print make it one of the best, if not the best Jacoulet finds in many years.
