This is an unusual vintage cut crystal inkwell, with hinged jockey cap lid of brass and brightly striped enamel; ca. 1930, from the Saratoga estate of the late Tommy Luther, prominent American jockey and founder of the original jockey guild; of square form, decorated with columns of notched prisms; Condition: some minor chips on prism edges, wear to enamel; measurement: 2 inches x 2 inches, and 3 inches high.
