This fanciful Art Nouveau style brass desk box was originally made to hold stamps but would be a great place to store a special ring, cufflinks or a secret. Rectangular shaped, standing on four feet, the hinged cover has a centered sunflower surrounded by leaves and vines, two compartments inside, unmarked. Measures 3 in. x 1 5/8 in. x 1 1/4 in. high.
Condition is near perfect.

This is an unusual Victorian round-form jardiniere or planter made by The Forbes Silver Co, Meridan, CT, circa 1896, having a raised stylized diaper pattern standing on four dragon-like feet, decorated with a foliate border and individual flowers comprising the weave, separate removable metal lining. Dimensions: 8 in. x 4 1/2 in. high. Condition is very good, minor plate wear. This item has been previously laquered to preserve shine and may need professional buffing.

This is a magnificent Victorian set of large nickel plated sewing scissors and letter opener with matching sheath in the style of WMF, circa 1900, the handles and sheath of beautifully cast with Art Nouveau style; blades are steel-cut and marked "Schnefel Bros, Germany;" condition: sheath case and handles in excellent condition, some minor nicks; measurement:, 11 3/4 inches in sheath. Letter opener- 8 3/8 in high.
