| This is an early polychrome wooden statue of St. Aloysius Gonzaga, Patron Saint of Youth, probably Spanish, late 18th to early 19th Century, wood carving with layer of gesso on a plinth base, St Aloysius is standing clothed in Jesuit garb, very nice detail of facial features and clothing, statue is in fair to good condition, in need of restoration, has chips in several places, fingers broken in proper left hand, measures 35 in H. | ||||||||||||
