| This is a handsome 19th century Cromwellian-style armchair with wonderful leather embossment and hand carved figural arm supports, the rectangular green leather padded back with embossed country theme of floral and fauna, a similar embossed padded seat with a center griffin, one of the barley twist arm supports having a carved bearded male bust, the other with a female bust, the legs are joined by barley-twist turned stretchers, all original, this chair has excellent color and patina. Measurement: 34" H x 21 1/2" W x 18" D, seat height-19" tall. Condition: Very good, Part of an estate, this chair is untouched, leather on the seat is worn but acceptable for seating, One of the stretchers needs minor repairing, the gentleman's beard has a chip, underside lining torn. | |||||||||||||
