Rare iron jingasa of very high quality, with high relief carving (takabori) of clouds and a silver and copper inlaid dragon (zogan). Border and kanamono in gilt copper; original ukebari.

Derived probably from a larger one, this screen is painted with extraordinary quality. The tarashikomi technique, esclusive of the Rinpa artists, is here truly mastered, with plants entirely painted in wet ink, enlivened in the middle by irregular areas of bright colors. Spectacular suzuribako set (writing box) with Rinpa design, from the Taisho period (early 20th century) complete with paper knife, paper pricker and two brushes. Decoration in takamaki-e and hiramaki-e, with pewter inlaids. Inkstone with borders lacquered in fundame. Mint conditions, 24 x 24 x 5 cm.
