This Cambridge 13 1/4" Draped Lady Flower Frog in Crystal with a Type I (Scalloped) Base is in very good condition. As is common with this type base, there are significant swirling in the glass in the base with some charcoal bits (see picture 3) and some internal heat stress fractures in a few of the holes. Two of the fractures result in a very small chip at the base edge (see picture 4). There are no chips, cracks, scratches, etc on the lady herself except what looks like a couple splashes of acid dots that are very hard to see and the usual manufacturing straw mark across the pedestal. The glass looks a bit grayer (or bluer?) than the usual very clear frogs. This version with the scalloped base has 6 holes and was cataloged as Item #513 from 1927-1929. Some of the Cambridge figural frogs were reproduced, but this style was not; this piece is original Cambridge Glass.
