From a London estate, this fabulous brooch has the colors of an early Klee painting, in a wonderful geometric design enamelled onto a foiled backing for that rich super-shimmer. It's entirely handmade, of course, and the enamel is curved - a very difficult process. The enamel plaque is set into a metal mount that acts as a bezel and has the really old clasp right for the period. I think the metal's probably brass aged to bronze color. Size is 60 mm x 20 mm (2.36" x .79"). Definitely *not* the sort of thing one runs into every day!
