Here's your new favorite ring, if you love peridot green: the fresh green of crunchy apples and spring's new leaves. It reached us from a European estate and is even more beautiful than I expected. Loaded with large and gorgeously cut stones (one round and 8 marquis), this ring is quite a substantial jewel. Its face -- a flowerhead or star, depending on your view of it -- measures more than half an inch round.
Dating would be circa 1950, when new peridot finds in Brazil made them more widely available. Current size is about a US 6 - 6 1/2, easily altered since the band isn't ornamented. (We state size as a range, because different sizing equipment gives results that vary by up to 1/2, although it was sold to us as 6 1/4.) It's hallmarked 925 for sterling.
Thanks for looking!
