This exquisite antique buckle is comprised of two highly dimensional repousse rose medallions, each 1 3/4" round. Obviously it's crafted on the grand scale the Victorians loved. Even if worn with a long formal gown, this buckle on your sash or belt wouldn't be overlooked by anyone! Of course it will look equally stunning by day, and there couldn't be a better time to acquire it. Bold belts and sashes are key accessories this season - seen in all the top runway shows with shapely fashions inspired by the Victorian and Edwardian eras.

The condition of the buckle is lovely, with no dents at all, just a little age-appropriate surface wear. You can see time's rich patina on the reverse, but the front shines brightly. Its surface appears to be plated with silver or with one of those hard-wearing silver metals in the platinum family, rhodium or chromium.

A delightful find for any Sarah Coventry collector, this lavish cocktail ring is loaded with creamy pretend-pearls and brilliant diamond rhinestones. It's a Dallas area estate jewel - wouldn't you know it? - with a face measuring almost an inch round, and this is a design you don't see often.

As you know, the Sarah Coventry firm was justly famed for quality craftsmanship and this ring has held up like a champ. The silvertone metal (prettily brushed on reverse) shows only slight wear under magnification and just one rhinestone went missing in more than 50 years. I had my jeweler replace that with a great match, so the ring is perfectly ready to wear or give proudly. Interior of shank is signed SARAH COV, preceded by the copyright symbol. Size is adjustable.

Positively screaming art Deco, this spectacular lapel, hat or jabot pin paved with rhinestones is almost 3 inches long, including its triangular screw-on clutch. Crafted with beaded edges and accents among the stones, there's a lot of detail adding flash to the piece. It takes high magnification to notice loss of gilding on the front, but the back retains very little gilding; it's mainly patinated brass. Although the back will never be seen when worn, we've naturally priced this treasure in accordance with its condition on close inspection. There's plenty of life left, but others have also used and enjoyed it through seven decades. Probable dating would be 1920s and provenance is an East Coast estate.

Ah, that brilliant Art Deco orange! It lights up your face with smiles, when you see it in pottery by Clarice Cliff. Now let it light up your face in a different way, via these marvelous vintage earrings from the 1920s or very early 1930s. They're big enough to make a bold statement, but not overpowering, at 1 1/4 inches long. Backs are screw-on, of course, given the period. The material is an early plastic, most likely Bakelite or the French equivalent called Galalith). Provenance of the earrings is a New York estate and their condition is lovely.

If you're in the market for a real knock-'em-dead Deco brooch, here it is - fresh from a New York estate. Both its bold color and geometric pattern are high-voltage stuff. The craftsmanship is amazing, too; in its mesmermizing depths, there are layers and layers of geometric patterns. Size is about 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and, as you see, it would look marvelous with black, white or any shade of purple, lilac, lavender or wine. Probable dating would be circa 1930 - 1935, since there's a strong Modernist influence, and I wouldn't be surprised if it came from Scandinavia.

The brooch is backed with a meshlike material, to which the pin - which has a strong safety clasp - is fixed by glue or resin. This backing treatment appears a great deal younger than the brooch, itself. No doubt it had some sort of metal fitting originally.

From Paris, here's a vintage treasure that couldn't be more perfect for summer wear! Of clear lucite, hand-painted with lush roses in delicious shades of peach and coral, this chic cuff bracelet is at least 50 years old but in superb condition.

It's 1 1/4" wide and a good fit for most people, since there's a gap in the back and enough "spring" that it will stay where you put it. If your wrists are small, just shove it up your forearm or even wear it on your upper arm.

Here's a showy vintage ring that will perfectly fit any finger - or even your toe! It's made of rope-twisted brass and features a huge cabochon of turquoise plastic. From a Pennsylvania estate, it's in very nice vintage condition. The reverse is stamped West Germany, and I understand rings of this type are highly collectible now; a lady wrote that she owns 200 of them! Certainly there won't be any more of these (or anything else) with the West German mark.

DODDS jewelry is scare, especially if signed, as their mark isn't always legible. This beauty clearly bears the name of the famous firm known for using high-quality stones in gold-plated metal, so this monster cabochon could actually be real. The company closed circa 1960, so the jewel likely dates from the 1950s. It's a stunning and truly massive (3 1/4" x 2 1/4") design lavished with faux pearls and featuring a central 1" x 3/4" stone with the appearance of a faintly blue moonstone or opal. Being foil-backed, it's hard to examine but, under high magnification, it shows inclusions that aren't characteristic of glass. It also isn't scratched as glass would normally become after decades. Overall condition of this pendant is lovely (with only minor loss of finish on a few pearls, not visible to the naked eye). Provenance is a Pennsylvania estate.

You couldn't pick anything more stylish now, since fashion favors piling on pendants at multiple levels. This one would be fabulous to wear in the latest way - suspended at waist level on an extra-long chain or ribbon. Besides everyday wear, it would be a marvelous costume piece for a Renaissance fair or medieval wedding. You could even stich it securely onto clothing, since it has two loops. Small fibers seen under magnification suggest it may have been worn exactly that way by a prior owner.

Wow - I just saw online a pair of new designer earrings practically identical to these, and they're priced at $165! The stones are glass and no precious metals are involved, so the price difference isn't based on materials. Why pay extra for modern knockoffs that will only lose their value, when you can invest in genuine historic treasures for LESS?

Here's a sensational deal on ultra-long vintage chandelier earrings loaded with prong-set rhinestones. They're ultra-long and in superb conditon, with no missing or dead stones and very little metal wear. About 5/8" wide, these drop to a shoulder-dusting 3". Probable dating is circa 1940-1950 and provenance is a Los Angeles estate. What a glam' look for your prom or any dress-up occasion!

About 1 1/4" round, these big gypsy hoop earrings of thick rope-twist form can't possibly be overlooked when you wear them. Their golden color is a great pretender, bright but not brassy, so they'll go well with your real gold jewelry. They appear to be plated with high-carat gold.

Signed Trifari on each comfortable clip back, these date from around 1960, but the hoop style is as stylish now as it was back then. Surface wear is very minimal, most visible only under high magnification, and the clips work like a dream.
