Rediscovered as old store stock in the 1970s, these adorable Mary Janes from the flapper era entered my personal collection then, along with several other pairs. I've worn only them a few times, so they're still practically pristine. Notice how cute the buttons that close the straps are; I think they're Bakelite. I love the subtle taupe and tan color combo, too.
Size is about a U.S. ladies' 5, so these are for you if you're a Cinderella with tiny feet. Of course they'd also be marvelous dress-up shoes for a girl; the equivalent child's size is 2 1/2 - 3 and the heels aren't too high for a special young lady.

This eye-catching English evening purse is doubly dazzling, featuring both rhinestone trim and silver lame fabric. And, unlike many evening purses, it's big enough to be really useful. It measures about 7" x 7 1/4" and works equally well as a clutch or a shoulder bag. Its 28" chain tucks smoothly away through grommets when you don't need it.
This beauty is in lovely condition, with no dulling of its rhinestones or silvertone hardware and only a few little bits of staining inside. The fabric lining, champagne-colored, has a moire pattern and a large side pocket. Probable dating would be 1950s or 1960s.

I've never seen a 40-year-old costume in such great shape as this one. It can't have been worn more than once or twice, if that. If you plan to twirl or skate to vintage music, you couldn't pick a more perfect outfit! Or wouldn't it be a great majorette look for a Halloween or costume party? Just add a baton and white boots and style your hair in a flip!
Dating from the early 1960s, this like-new and very cute outfit is obviously a custom-made one-of-a-kind design, featuring dressmaker details like hand-beading on the paisley shapes within its fringed yoke. The hundreds of tiny faux-pearls are easy to see in person, but hard to capture in a photograph. Since the fabric is a stretchy knit, it should fit anyone from about size 2 to size 8.

This exquisite long-sleeved blouse from Cambridgeshire in England wouldn't look out of place on a Renaissance princess. It can be worn off the shoulders or not and would pair beautifully with anything from a formal skirt to jeans. The bodice is overlaid in front with gorgeously decorated panels of embroidered white eyelet and beading mesh. A flattering fit is assured by the panel of elastic smocking at the back. Sleeves are of a lighter fabric, almost gossamer, with pearl-buttoned cuffs. Six more pearl buttons secure the bodice and have so seldom passed through the buttonholes that it's still hard to do. Accordingly, overall condition of this blouse is fabulous. A few beads could stand tightening, but that's all I see.
Size is small - just right for you if you wear between a size 1 and size 5. Probable dating would be late 1960s, when such romantic styles were worn by the most privileged Flower Children.

Here's a delightful evening bag, bouncing with beads - and we found a beaded choker that's so good a match we had to offer these items together. The black satin evening purse measures about 6 1/2" x 4" and is identically decorated on both sides with both applied beads and larger black baubles that swing from strands of the smaller beads. You can carry it as a clutch or use the 12-inch chain that tucks away when not wanted. The bag is in near-mint condition, showing only slight frame wear on very close inspection. Choker is like new. Probable dating of both would be the 1980s.

In excellent condition, this pretty Retro lipstick case of goldtone mesh over tan leather has a great mirror inside. Length is about 3 3/4", height about 1 1/4" and there's a good strong snap. It's an elegant way to deal with "emergency repairs" while you're on the town, and easy to fit into even the teensiest evening bag.

For retro chic in chilly weather, you really can't beat a luxurious collar of chestnut-hued mink. As perfect now with any high-necked sweater or dress as it was in the 40s and 50s, this collar measures about 26" long and 4" wide. The fur is in extremely good condition, but its lining could stand a little restitching. (I'd do it, but I'm lousy with a needle.) The warm coloration of this fur is particularly pretty on a brunette or redhead.
