This early 20th century pendant is a spectacular example of the icy white-on-white look so fashionable during the Edwardian era and immediately thereafter. Carved rock crystal had been used in earlier Victorian jewelry, but it took on a very different air when frosted, set in white metals, rather than Victorian gold or gilt, and given the Edwardian refinements of cutwork and millegrain detail. ...click for details
Here's a jewel as Art Deco as the Chrysler Building! Sleek and strongly geometric, the 2-inch drop has a pattern of enameled blue and white diamonds at the base, plus a faux-sapphire cut in pyramid shape.
Obviously this is an Egyptian Revival piece, from the era when King Tut's treasures first dazzled the world in the 1920s - so ...click for details
Besides a mounting in classic skyscraper shape, this marvelous Art Deco ring has a stone of towering proportions: a radiant chyrsoprase about 3/4" tall and cut in a fancy domed shape. Overall size of the ring is a knuckle-covering 1 3/8" x 5/8". Twenty-two marcasites add extra sparkle.
Attention, dot.commies, here's an incredible pair of Art Deco Russian cufflinks complete with sickle marks within stars. They're also marked '875' and with the letter 'P' and '6RK'(with the 'R' backward). I was told they were made around 1930 and the design supports that view. The stylized Greek key mountings are of lovely silver set with fabulous amber stones, possibly the rare and fine 'milk and honey' type from Siberia. Cufflink fronts measure ab ...click for details

Occasionally design currents converge in perfect harmony and this pendant is a wonderful example. Although a Deco piece in its streamlined look and dating (probably circa 1925-1930), its curvy teardrop shape evokes Art Nouveau and a clear Arts & Crafts influence shows in gorgeous workmanship and the bezel-set cabochon stone.
You want the *ultimate* Art Deco earrings? Here they are - as Deco as the Chrysler Building! Exquisitely crafted of sterling silver and chrysoprase, they're of skyscraper form and enormous - 2 1/2" tall. Provenance is a Los Angeles estate and I'll bet dollars to donuts these beauties were worn on at least one Oscars Night in the 1920s. ...click for details
This very elegant set consists of a beautiful ring with marcasites and a 3 CT emerald-cut aquamarine, plus earrings with round brilliant-cut aquamarines of about 1 CT each. The stones have good vivid color, as you see, and those with saturated color are the most valuable. Given the age of these pieces, there's a strong likelihood the stones weren't even heat-treated to improve color, as is routinely done today. Aquamarine, BTW, is the birthstone for your loved ones born in March and he ...click for details
