As you know if you follow fashion news, classic pearls have made a *huge* comeback, so this luxuriously long pearl necklace will be a fabulous asset to your day and evening wardrobe. It's comprised of 76 genuine cultured pearls. New strands of this bead size and length are extremely pricey. Even an online discounter cites a price range from about $1100 to $2500, depending on quality, so ours are quite a bargain at $650.
The pearls here are nicely round, have a rich luster and seem fairly well-matched for color - in that creamy champagne shade that's more flattering to people with darker complexions than silver-white. Each bead is individually knotted, another indication of high quality. Condition of the pearls looks fine, but restringing soon wouldn't be a bad idea; the cord is stretched a bit here and there. It's wise to have fine pearls restrung every year or two, anyway. The design of the white gold clasp suggests a dating circa 1940-1950, but they could be a little earlier or later. Provenance is a Las Vegas estate, so imagine what stories they could tell! There's no extra charge for insured U.S. shipping and gift wrap.
