Here's a wonderful Retro find from the 1940s: FIVE whisper-soft dresses of fine white cotton lawn with pintucking, embroidery and scalloped hems. Each has a different design and the tags tell us they were hand-made in the Philippines. Condition is lovely, despite their being about 60 years old -- nearly antique, by American 75-year standards. Some could use a few stitches along seam lines, but there are no major problems. They could be brightened with bleach and/or bluing, if you like.
