A beautiful and very large ironstone beer tankard or mug, with molded or sprigged decoration of hops – looking rather like blackberries - in blue and white on a jade-coloured background. England, c 1820-30, in Wedgwood jasperware style. Height "4 ¾ / 12 cm, diam. "5 ¼ / 13,5 cm. Condition: fine.
Cream jug or pitcher of faceted shape, lavishly gilt and enameled, 19th century (c 1820-40), unmarked. Decoration of jewel-like panels and flowers, the colouring of the flowers typically Russian. Height: "4 / 10,5 cm. Condition: a few corners with some wear to the gilt (cf pictures).
An Art Nouveau or Jugendstil silver plated and footed pewter bowl by Kayser, Germany, c 1910. The design is a wreath of cherries, divided into three compartments. Early stamped mark Kayser. The Kayser or Kayserzinn factory in Krefeld produced pewter items of high artistic value, in the decades around 1900. Diameter "6 ¾ / 17,5 cm and height "2/ 5 cm. Condition: fine.
An Art Nouveau or Jugendstil small pewter dish from WMF / Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik, c 1900. Design typical of the period, with whirling or floating lines, berries and leaves. Stamped mark WMF B OX, where OX stands for “oxidized”. The oxidation serves to underline the relief of the design. Width "5 ¼ / 13 cm. Condition: fine.
An elegant knife rest, silver plated and late 19th century, English, unmarked. Modeled as two resting dogs (whippets?) supporting a whip. Width “3 ¾ / 9,2 cm. Condition: fine.
