Two pretty vases by Samson, in the Famille rose palette, imitating the style of Chinese export porcelain of the mid-18th century, the Qianlong period. The two have been used as a pair, even though the gilt borders are not quite identical. Both marked with an over-glaze pseudo-Chinese mark in iron red, typical of Samson. Height: "4 ¾ / 12 cm. Condition: minimal nick to underside of foot rim to one vase, otherwise fine.

Jar and cover by Samson of Paris, late 19th c. Powder blue glaze, with reserves decorated in Famille verte palette, all in the late 17th c style of the Kangxi period. Height, with the lid: "6 ¼ / 16 cm. Unmarked. Condition : the jar is in several pieces, in obvious need of restoration, the lid comparably well preserved with only one piece missing from the rim.

A Samson of Paris plate, octagonal, imitating the mid-18th style of the Qianlong period. Decoration in Famille rose colours and white slip glaze. The background is off-white, in order to enhance the features of the slip glaze. The back with a mock Sèvres (!) mark, crossed "L"s. Width: "9/ 22,5 cm. Condition: fine.

A pair of English blue and white dinner plates by Wedgwood, c 1820’s. From the Landscape or Blue rose border series. Both plates with impressed marks Wedgwood and RR plus a small under-glaze blue mark. Diameter "9 ¾ / 24,6 cm. Condition: one plate with a faint star crack, the other with a secured crack (cf. pictures).

A very small – miniature - coffee can and saucer plate decorated with cornflowers, the favourite pattern of Marie Antoinette, also called the Angoulême or ”aux Barbeaux” pattern. France, c 1800, unsigned. Height of can ”1 ¾ / 4,5 cm, diameter of saucer ”3 ½ / 8,5 cm. Condition: two minimal nicks to the rim of the can (cf. picture) and a little roughness to the rim of the saucer.

A silver mounted cylindrical bowl, the exterior very dark blue, the interior gilt. The silver mounting, partly gilt, with fine details of laurel wreaths and the goddess of victory with wreaths and palm leaves. The bowl with cracks (cf. photos). On the silver mount part of the official French hall mark (Minerva head) and the lozenge mark of Orfèvrerie Maillard, O (a mallet) M, c 1900. Height: "2 ¼ / 6 cm and diam: "3 ¼ / 8 cm.

Beautiful cup and saucer with shape and decoration in the English Rococo revival style, by Jacob Petit in Fontainebleau, France, c 1840. Saucer and exterior of the cup in a quite simple and discreet design in pale turquoise and gilt, the interior of the cup lavishly decorated with roses and rocaille ornamentation in enamel colours and gilt. Large oval French serving plate in the cornflower sprig or aux barbeaux pattern. A challenger of the Sèvres privileges, the producer A M Leboeuf 1778 obtained support from the Queen, Marie Antoinette, hence the name of this factory, Fabrique de la Reine, and the porcelain is known as Porcelaine à la Reine. A 19th c Samson of Paris plate with enamelled decoration in Famille Rose colours of a cock and hen and a giggling lady, within a border of peony, cracked ice, ruyi etc., in style and motif typical of Chinese export porcelain from the Yongzheng period (1723-35). Diam. "9/ 23 cm. Condition: fine.
