Marks for the reign of Alexander II, 1855-81. Width with handle: "5 ¾ / 14,5 cm. Condition: wear to the puce decoration.

An English transfer printed and painted saucer bowl by William Smith & Co, c 1825-48. Marks: impressed: W S & Co and Wedgwood, printed in pink: WS & Co No 18 and Stafford Pottery. William Smith used "Wedgwood" in his marking to imitate Josiah Wedgwood. Smith even called his products "Staffordshire Pottery" - but his factory was actually situated in Stockton-on-Tees, in Yorkshire! English Worcester coffee can, soft paste porcelain, c.1800. Ring handle and slightly curved upper rim, decoration of oak leaves in two shades of green and gilt. Incised B for the Barr administration, 1792-1804. Height: "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: fine.
