Beautiful figural spoon has the Palace of Manufactures on the bowl. The spoon measures 5 7/8 inches and is in great condition. The back is marked Sterling Mermod&Jaccard (1845-1905). They were succeeded by Mermod, Jaccard & King Jewelry Co.
The spoon is approximately 5 3/4 inches. Columbus is at the top surrounded by a wreath, followed by World's Columbian Exposition, globe with symbols of progress, flags, and an anchor at the base. The bowl features the Santa Maria at sea. The reverse has Queen Isabella at the top, followed by flags, globe with dates 1492 * 1893, and the exposition seal. The spoon is marked sterling and Pat App For. The spoon is in very good condition with only minor scratches on the back of the bowl.
This sterling silver spoon depicts a nude woman holding her arms above her head and a bunch of grapes at her feet. The bowl has a very detailed date palm and is inscribe "DATE PALM LOS ANGELES CAL". The spoon is made by the Watson Co, which was established in 1874 in Attleboro, Mass. The Thomae Co was a division of this company which used an "H" in the center of a flag for their hallmark. This butter pat has a scene of a castle. The back of the plate has the CFH mark C2 under glaze dating it 1876. This 3 1/4 inch butter pat has 2 painted gold lines around the edge, some of which is rubbed off. The plate may look like it's dirty, but it isn't. The plate shows some wear, but considering the age, I'd say it's in very good condition.
This beautiful letter or photo box is an unmarked Wave Crest, which probably had a paper label at on time. Wave Crest is a trademark for C.F. Monroe Co. The box measures 6 x 4 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches and has pink floral design with gray scrolls around the puffy egg crate and decorated with little white enameled specs. The glass part is in really good shape, the only thing I find wrong is a small knick on the bottom side, which to me seems to be a factory defect. Beautiful round box with grey and pink painted flowers, diameter is 4 1/2" at the base and 3" tall, bottom is marked Nakara C F M Co. No chips or cracks, metal part shows some wear and discoloration. Company was in business until 1916.
