Description: Golden braids wrap around as the clasp with nested diamonds sits atop the wrist. The design was made to show the closure or clasp that is sprinkled with small flowers made of granulation, Granulation is the early Etruscan technique of adding miniscule gold balls to a surface without the use of solder. It was and still is not understood how the Etruscans accomplished this art. After years of trial and error, jewelers in nineteenth century Italy discovered their own method of granulation and the process was beautifully revived. See our item# 936818 and item item # 939015. Fine condition.

Each cameo is an oval of approximately one inch in width. It is infrequent that I find a Scottish Necklace. This one came as a surprise. The links are oblong and engraved with scrolling vines. Between the oblongs are circular links with images of a royal ship, a prancing lion and one in striking position, a soldier on guard, and a thistle. The collar's flexible construction makes it comfortable on the body. This is a striking and unusual collar in perfect condition.

Eighty rose cut diamonds cover gold leaves like early morning dew on romantic day night earrings. The lower diamonds glisten as they sway on their stems with the movement of the head. As in nature, but at the time that you dictate, the dangling leaves separate leaving the top segment to be worn solo. The removable lower segments dangle on long golden hooks. Wear them seductively long and decorative or, when you wish, remove the lower leaves and don the tops only as a more subtle daytime adornment. The gold is topped with silver on t

During the 1860's through the 1880's, the silver jewelry industry in England was occupied with designing a variety of bracelets and necklaces of lush engraving. (See the silver bangles offered on our web site) The British public was surprised when Queen Victoria came out wearing silver after years of mourning, donning only black attire and black mourning jewelry. Silver then caught their eye, became an object of interest and a popular accessory. A line of jewelry was made that we can enjoy today. This necklace is engraved with a floral pattern on each link. The extension link, often lost over time, remains with the necklace and awaits a locket of your choice. It can also be added to the chain to lengthen the necklace. This necklace design is typical of the Victorian era. It is in perfect condition, With the extra extension the chain is a generous 18 3/4 inches and can be worn on a turtleneck sweater. Length is 17 in. if you wish to shorten it. Each link is 1/2 inch high.
