Imagine white and bright. Phtographs do not tell a complete story of jewelry. It is when it is placed on the body that this pendant shines. So will your smile and your eyes. The european cut diamonds are a total weight of approximately 2.50ct. They are set in platinum and backed with gold, reminiscent of the Georgian and Victorian Period stone setting. V shaped notches make the form unusual and suggestive of a flower or a four leaf clover.. This gem is loveable, in fine condition and ready to wear constantly.. The chain, a modern 16" cable link is sold separately.

Scenes from a lagoon are engraved on each link with the expression of Japanese art of the period. Each silver link is tightly constructed. The engravings drawn are reeds, stalks of bamboo and sprays of grass, herons, and doves, fans and sprays. It is clear that water is nearby. The bracelet is flexible and comfortable with a good secure double clasp.
Previous to 1854 the art of Japan was unknown. Commander Perry of the United States Navy signed a trade agreement with Japan opening the world
to the treasures of Japanese art not seen previously. The world of design, excited by a new art find, incorporated Japonaiserie in metal work and picturesque expression.
Our bracelet dates to c. 1870 England. It is in excellent condition.

Forget-me-nots are at the center of this pair of delicate earrings in the form of a flower with petals of cut steel. Flowers replaced words in sentimental jewelry of the 19th century and were a language of their own. Blue forget-me-nots and daisies represented thoughts of love and remembrance. When a gent gifted his love with an image of a forget-me-not, he was telling her that he was thinking of her. These lovely earrings carry the same loving message. They have had their wires replaced from steel to gold. The blue flowers are enamel. Condition is very good. The trace of discoloration visible in the magnified image, has been cleaned., Approx 1 1/2 in in length 1/2 in in width

An unusual setting makes this engagement ring unique and elicits second glances. The lively center stone is an Old European Cut Diamond that weighs approximately .70 cts, - .75cts. The stone is beautifully faceted and has many points of light. Small full cut stones spill to the shoulders of the band and accent the center stone at north, south east and west. Notice the twist of the band as it meets and wraps around the center diamond shape. The central stone is ever so slightly raised from its background by 1/16th of an inch. Excellent condition. There are no imperfections noticeable upon louping. We estimate the clarity as VSI, Color G-H.
Ring size at present: is 7

Red, white, blue and gold enamel has been ever so delicately applied to these 19th century earrings. This is hand work of the finest quality. Do not be surprised that all this effort was applied to gilded silver or metal. The ear wires have been made of gold. The appreciation of jewelry was not reserved for precious gold or gemstones. Jewelry was appreciated for the workmanship and art involved in the creation. Think about the collectibility of cut steel, paste and esoteric materials. This pair of earrings, in the Napoleonic style, is wafer light. Condition is perfect

Description: Golden braids wrap around as the clasp with nested diamonds sits atop the wrist. The design was made to show the closure or clasp that is sprinkled with small flowers made of granulation, Granulation is the early Etruscan technique of adding miniscule gold balls to a surface without the use of solder. It was and still is not understood how the Etruscans accomplished this art. After years of trial and error, jewelers in nineteenth century Italy discovered their own method of granulation and the process was beautifully revived. See our item# 936818 and item item # 939015. Fine condition. Anerican. 14kt gold

It is infrequent that I find a Scottish Necklace. This one came as a surprise. The links are oblong and engraved with scrolling vines. Between the oblongs are circular links with images of a royal ship, a prancing lion and one in striking position, a soldier on guard, and a thistle. The collar's flexible construction makes it comfortable on the body. This is a striking and unusual collar in perfect condition.
