| Rarely are rings found from the medieval ages. At this time nobility wore jewels of gold and silver. Base metal was worn by other classes. The English Emprire was ruled by Henry V11 when this ring was born. Symbolizing the amalgamation of the Lancaster and York noble factions, this silver band traveled time extremely well. The bezel is composed of two concave rectangular panels engraved with hearts and Tudor Roses. The shoulders display Tudor roses as well. Rays extend from the rose at the shoulders as if to symbolize that the sun never sets on the British Empire. All engraving is in excellent condition and is deeply and beautifully ingrained. A thrilling (difficult for me to part with ) object that wear will not damage. The Tudor dynasty existed from 1485 to 1603. This ring is currently size 7 3/4 US, Eng. P and 1/2. It is 1/4 in. wide and in excellent condition. | ||||||||
