This is an exceptional Japanese Cloisonne Tea Jar. The enameling and tones used on this piece are superb. It is done in a high gloss midnight blue ground. The foreground features a profuse array of florals and leaves. These surround the entire piece. Chinese bell flowers, Iris and many leaves and grasses. It still retains the original inner metal lid. The jar measures 3 5/8" tall and is in perfect condition. A beautiful, finely done piece. The artist is most likely Ota Kichisaburo.

This is an excellent Japanese cloisonne vase from Ando. The vase is old and of very high quality and could be from Gonda when he worked for Ando. Gold wires are used on the koi and some appear suspended in the enamel under one of the Koi. Looks like a water plant. At first glance it looks like it might be a hit but there are no cracks. The rims are silver and it is signed on the bottom. The vase stands 10 inches tall and is 8 inches wide. Condition is excellent.
