This is a large and very heavy early Fukagawa Vase. The vase has a beautiful combination of under glaze painting, over glaze enamels and gold work. The vase stands 14 ½ tall and is 10 inches wide. Condition is excellent on this fabulous decorator piece.
This is a beautiful trumpet form Japanese Fukagawa Vase. The vase is a very fine example of early Fukagawa. It stands 12 inches tall. The vase looks perfect but there is a rim chip repair that would escape most people and antique auction houses.
This is a finely painted Sake Pourer from Fukagawa. The porcelain has the look of Hirado ware and even has a firing line at the base commonly seen on Hirado pieces. Hirado was taken over by Fukagawa at the end of the 19th century. Condition is very good and it stands 6 3/4 inches tall.
This is a unique piece of Porcelain. It is an open weave basket, in white porcelain. The rim is decorated with scrolling vines and flowerheads. Colorful Ho birds and clouds decorate the inside center. More decoration on the outside foot rim. Impressed Fukagawa mark on the underside. This lovely basket measures 9 1/8" across and 3" high. No damage.
This is a beautiful vase, measuring 9 3/4" tall. Trademark exquisite work of the Fukagawa studios. However, this one has a few more rich colors and design, not always used on Fukagawa. Thick raised enamels, and rich gilding. Great condition, but it appears to have had a drill hole on the bottom very perfectly restored. This would account for the missing mark.
This is a fine vase, measuring 7" tall. Done in the Totai jippo style, which is Cloisonne on porcelain. Lovely Cloisonne decorations on the matte brown body, with painting at the neck area. Unsigned, but could be Takeuchi Chubei. Very good condition, with two small rim chips.
This is a large lidded jar, measuring 9" tall and 7" wide. Exquisite enamels and signature Fukagawa colors and design. Gold wash throughout the tall Sapphire blue Bamboo that bend, as if in the wind. Signature scrolls at the top and base. Early Koransha mark under the lid. Some tiny wear to the gold rim areas, otherwise this lovely piece is perfect.

Inside the bowl's central area is a deep iron red ground. Here, wonderful large and colorful Cranes fly about. Old mark on the base. Great condition, with only a glaze chip on the rim.

This is a lovely Japanese Porcelain Vase. Done by the Fukagawa studios, its work is reminiscent of Makuzu Kozan. Beautiful shading and enamel work. It has a soft green ground with blue shading, almost a drip effect. A grand Mt Fuji in deep purple blue tones with white capped top. Unique circular mark on the back of the vase. It was a presentation piece and says "N. Y. K. LINE".
