This is a beautifully painted Japanese Satsuma vase from Kinkozan. The gold highlights and enamel on the flowers contrast wonderfully with the matte finished look of the vase. If you look close there is a fine wash of gold beads on the upper area of the vase. It is also a rather large piece at 9 1/4 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. It is signed in gold and again with an impressed mark. Overall the condition is excellent and like many works from Kinkozan, a great display piece.

This is a very attractive example of Japanese Golden Age Cloisonne. The colors are very bright and the design is very desirable. It is a very unique piece that was made in the late 1800's. The tray measures 12 3/4 inches by 8 inches. All in all the Condition is very good and it displays wonderfully. If you look close, there is a short craze and slight bend in the outer rim (see image). The roughness on the bottom is from the firing process.

This is an exquisitely painted piece of Japanese Satsuma from Kinkozan. The piece is much better than the images show. The Jar is fairly good size measuring 6 inches across at the handles. It has virtually no wear to the fine gold decorations. In the last image some discoloration can be seen on the underside. Signed twice with a gold and stamped Kinkozan mark.

This is a very nice smaller vase from Meizan. It has excellent detail and enameling. It is even finished off at the inner top rim area with fine white enamel beads. The work rivals that from the Yabu Meizan factory and it is believed that some of the Meizan artists went on to work for Yabu Meizan. This beautiful 5 inch piece has slight wear to the gold but overall is in outstanding condition.

This is a unique diamond shaped vase. The enamel is very refined and the vase is heavy. The base yellow color graduates in intensity as it flows upward. We have seen similar vases signed by Gonda and we assume that is the artist of this piece. The vase stands 6 inches tall. The rims are silver plated. If one look close there is a very slight line of discoloration deep in the surface.

This is an exquisite little Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Done by one of the masters, Hayashi. This little piece has a high gloss midnight blue ground. The foreground features 5 well executed gold wire songbirds. Silver rims, with gold into the throat, and on the base. Engraved on the base "Hayashi Kodenji". It stands 3 1/4" tall. The rim has a slight bend, and just under the top rim is a filled surface rim chip. Also a tiny nick on the side of the vase. Still a great piece.

This is a very unusual and attractive Japanese cloisonne vase. With the very long neck it stands 9 3/4 inches tall. This is the only time we have seen a cloisonne piece with this form. The quality is superb and the artist could have been one of several masters. Upon very close inspection one can see some faint lines in one area of the neck (see images). Otherwise excellent condition.
