This is a very detailed, and beautiful Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Unsigned, but most definitely by Miwa. We recently sold a similar vase with the exact form and size that was signed Miwa. This very fine piece has an Emerald green ground, profusely decorated with embossed tiny butterflies and Chrysanthemums. This work is well done, but the rest of the piece is even more detailed. The long neck of the vase has several wide bands of scroll using very, very detailed Cloisonne work. The brilliant green ...click for details

This is a very fine Japanese Cloisonne vase by Ota Kichisaburo. The vase is done in great detail with beautiful silverwire work of various sizes and brightly colored enamels. Six butterflies or Moths decorate the body of the vase. The form and subject matter are rare. The vase looks perfect but there is a fine restoration on the foot rim that is shown in the last image. It is signed on the bottom and stands 5 inches tall. We also have the mate to this vase.

This is a great rare form Japanese Cloisonne Jar. The work is outstanding. The artist could be Ota, Miwa, or Shibata as we have seen similar work from each artist. The jar was made with several widths of silver wire and even has sculpted silver wire. The jar is stoutly made and is very heavy. It stands 4 1/2" tall and is 3 3/4" across. Condition is excellent. The original silver on the rims and panel edges is worn and there is now a nice patina. There is also what appears to be a very ...click for details

This is a very sweet piece. It is a Japanese moriage enamel vase by the master Gonda. What makes this piece so unique is the size. It is only 3 ¾ inches by 3 ¾ inches. It has the same workmanship of the bigger Gonda koi pieces, only in a much more detailed package. It is the smallest vase of this style and quality that I have ever seen. Perfect condition. The vase is not signed but the style and enamel colors match perfectly to the signed Gonda pieces.

This is a wonderful old Japanese Imari vase. The square form with raised relief work is rare and very desirable. It is probably more than 120 years old. If you look close you can see the irregular hand in the form especially around the top. The vase stands 12 3/4 inches tall and 7 1/2 across at the corners. There is wear to the gold, but still a grand display piece.
