This is a great Japanese Cloisonne vase. What makes this vase so special is the profusion of sculpted silver wire. The effect is beautiful. Also there is a glow from the quality of the enamel that can not be captured in the images. Mixed in with the bamboo design are 6 gold wire birds. At 12 inches tall it is a very large example from Hayashi Kodenji. The vase has a hit on the back side shown in two images. It does not detract much and it is still a great vase.

This is a large in sized and very superb Japanese Cloisonne Vase. Using both silver and gold wire, it is probably the work of Hayashi. The vase measures 12 1/4" tall and has an elegant shape. High gloss midnight blue ground is decorated with silver wire and fine enameled Bamboo stalks. The wires are in varying thickness and great shading used throughout. Perched and flying amongst the tall stalks of Bamboo are 6 very well executed GOLD wire sparrows. Below the stalks of Bamboo are tiny Dais ...click for details

This is a masterpiece of work and detail. It is a lidded jar with impressed Kinkozan mark. The detail and intricate patterns are to detailed to fully describe. The work is as fine as you will ever see. As good as Sozan or Nakamura Baikei. It features different horizontal patterns that circle the body of the jar. To begin, there is a wide brocade, tapestry and geometric band of scroll at the top rim area. There are also scrolling vines with thick enameled gold Paulownia leaves. These designs are ...click for details

This is a beautiful rare example of Japanese Cloisonne. The large pedestal bowl shape is very rare. There are 5 gold wire birds, dozens of cherry blossoms, branches, and wisteria. The silver wire is done in different sizes and some is sculpted around the larger branches. The artist is Ando or Hayashi. Condition is excellent except for a tiny bit of factory pitting. It measures 8 inches across and is 7 ¼ inches tall.

This is a very rare Japanese Cloisonne vase by Ando. The ground color is a rar shade of purple and the shape is exquisite. The vase was possibly made as early as 1910. The rims are silver and are stamped. The vase also comes with the original custom made hardwood stand. The vase is 14 ½ inches tall without the stand and tapers down to just 2 ½ inches across at the base. Just at tiny crack in the enamel otherwise perfect.(see last image). Shows better than the images.

This is a very fine Japanese Cloisonne vase. It was made around 1900-1910. It is signed but the mark is unknown to us. We think the artist was Ito. The quality is good enough that it could have also been made by either Hattori or Hayashi. The vase has top quality enamel and wire work. It is better than the images show. The design is also incorporates the use different sizes of sculpted silver wire. It stands 9 3/4 inches tall. The vase is in excellent condition but does have a missing black cloi ...click for details
