This is a wonderful little Chinese ivory carving. It is a basket atop a lotus flower with seashells. Intricately carved crabs spill over this lovely basket. It measures 3 3/4" tall. This is an old Jade and Ivory Snuff Bottle. Very unique, it comes from a 1940's estate. Carved ivory lid and spoon the body central area is encircled with old jade. An old sticker on the base, reads " Ming Dynasty Jade Ts'ung and Natural aged Ivory. We are not experts in this field, so we do not know for sure. But it is a great old piece.
