This is a stunning piece of Japanese Satsuma. It is a bowl, by Yabu Meizan. It has outstanding detailed work and enameling. The outside of the bowl is a continuous picturesque scene of the shores of Lake Biwa. Minute work, so detailed, one almost needs magnification to fully appreciate. This is a very lovely and well done Japanese Satsuma Vase. Meiji Era, it has an old worn mark, we cannot identify. However, the work is exquisite and must have been done by a very good artist. It looks much like a good Kinkozan vase. The vase features two large panels front and back. One encases an outdoor scene with rich enameled cascading Wisteria and vines.
