A antique Northwood custard ivory glass 4 piece table set with gold decoration in the lovely Louis XV pattern
This pattern was introduced by Northwood in 1898 and is one of their richest patterns that was ever put on the market in pressed glassware and named after Louis XV the luxurious and courtly King of France.
The set includes the round butter dish with cover, covered sugar bowl, creamer and spooner.
There are a couple of small mold marks as you would expect to find in glassware from this era and a few stray gold brush strokes from when the pieces were decorated with gold. There is some wear on the gold that is most noticeable on the knobs of the covers and feet as shown in the photos. We could find no chips.
A beautiful custard glass table set, fine Northwood quality!
