An antique wood foot pedal and cast iron mechanical boot jack.
It is signed on the metal plate Patented Feb. 22, 1859.
This type of boot jack is used by placing the back of your boot into the iron clamp and pressing the wooden pedal (which tightens the clamp) which allows the leg to pull out of the boot.
Wooden foot pedal measures about 10 3/4" long and the boot jack is 14 3/4" overall length.
